Goals & Objectives 
  1. Establish DLD as the leading organization for resources toinform effective practices for individuals with LD.
    1. Identify and promote DLD’s unique contribution within the LD community
    2. Develop resources in response emerging needs of the LD community
    3. Increase awareness of and access to resources for members
    4. Promote Learning Disabilities Research & Practice among researchers and practitioners
  2. Intentionally embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within DLD's work.
    1. Define diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility for DLD
    2. Conduct a DEI assessment of current internal systems, public-facing materials, and representation among members and leadership
    3. Increase representation of diverse voices in DLD
    4. Explore opportunities to develop partnerships with organizations that bring expertise not represented within DLD
  3. Increase communication and engagement with members.
    1. Develop a structured and streamlined communication plan to guide efforts
    2. Distribute a regular email newsletter to DLD membership
    3. Increase social media engagement
    4. Create guidelines related to DLD’s engagement, including promotion and/or responsiveness, related to advocacy and public policy
  4. Maintain and enhance internal systems to ensure longevity of DLD as an organization.
    1. Finalize and disseminate DLD strategic plan 2024-2029
    2. Identify practices that support and contribute to improvements in financial stability
    3. Conduct a review of all internal systems, procedures, and processes
    4. Grow and retain DLD’s membership base
    5. Develop strategic relationships with partner organizations
